A native New Yorker who now makes his home in Austin, TX.

Through his intrinsic observations, Alexander is able to reveal inner personalities within moments of engaging his subjects. An illusionist, his images capture moments in time, through natural reactions to his direction allowing him to discover the most poignant reflection of the human spirit.

Work assignments have taken him from rural India to the rice fields of Bali to the plight of troubled youth in South Central, L.A.. Critics have praised him; both as a director of unique and poetic vision, and a documentarian who conveys a strong sense of the people and places he covers.
